Real London Real Stories
ROUND FOUR: SCOOP
Amarena, Bacio, Tiramisu, Raspberry sorbet; £4 each
This tastes like vanilla cherry cola. There’s not enough cherry, and it tastes a bit artificial. It’s quite heavy – very smooth, though. This is a people-pleaser, it tastes quite simple. It’s a bit like a teen movie. Like a Clueless.
It’s quite sour, quite cherry-y. This makes me think of tango. It makes me think of America. This would be good as an ice cream float.
This makes me think of Nutella. You couldn’t have too much of it. This is a piazza ice cream, you’d have this in Italy. Loads of people will like this.
I would mix this one with the cherry one, that would be nice. It’s alright, nothing special. A kid would love this.
It has a really nice coffee-roundness, with the biscotti of the Tiramisu, and the coffee-chocolate powder on top. You would eat this after ra very nice Italian meal, or with a coffee in the afternoon, sitting in a cafe with your friends.
This is very very creamy. I like the texture, it’s very soft. I like the mix of flavours, you can taste them all.
I’m a bit disappointed. It’s just a bit flat. It’s fine, but nothing to write home about. I think we’ve been spoilt by La Gelateria.
The colour looks amazing. It tastes a bit like a store-bought yogurt drink. Teenagers might like this, but it’s not one for me.
